Are you looking for unique wedding invitations for your special day that are unlike nothing else out there? Do you want something different? Maybe even something completely handmade to really make a lasting impact? Well, look no further! I am happy to offer HANDMADE and HAND PRINTED linoleum cut wedding invitations! This is for the bride who truly wants the most unique experience possible there is something undeniably special about an invitation that has been completely made by hand from start to finish without computer programs or other software. *The listing description is very lengthy as I am trying to provide you with the most options and clarity for you to consider before purchasing. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to message me before purchasing! I want to make sure you get exactly what you want for your big day! The featured images are all of my own wedding invitations that I designed and hand printed for my Starry Night themed wedding. If you are not familiar with linoleum or the linocut process, the last image shows the carved linoleum block that serves as a stamp, which is then rolled with ink and pressed onto the paper over and over. You may notice slight imperfections in the included images, but as each invitation is individually printed by hand, this is simply part of their charm. No two invitations are exactly alike. The featured images of the invitations are printed in an oil based blue ink on cold pressed 120 lb watercolor paper that I very lightly painted designs on similar to Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting before printing. The RSVP cards are printed in the same ink on light blue card stock. How do I order? What is included? *** This listing is for the DESIGN DEPOSIT ONLY. This can include the design of just an invitation, just an RSVP card, or both. Once you purchase this listing, please send me a message with the exact text you would like on your invitations as well as any relevant information about your chosen wedding theme, style, desired fonts, etc. *** I will create up to three different design drafts until you are happy. This process will happen through Etsy conversations or email – your preference, and you will receive your design drafts within three days of purchasing. *** Once we both settle on a final design, we will discuss paper choices, sizes, colors, quantity needed, the date you need to receive everything by, and any other specifics. I will then provide you with a few options regarding paper, ink, colors, etc as well as an approximate price quote for everything. (See below for some ideas on just how much we can truly customize this!) *** Once we settle on all of the specifics, I will create a listing reserved for you that totals 50% of the total cost. This will include 50% of all material and labor costs. Once that payment is received, I will purchase materials and begin carving your linoleum block. Once I complete all invitations and/or RSVP cards, I will send you photos for your approval and create an additional listing for the final 50% (plus shipping) of the end total. Once that final payment is received, I will ship everything out to you. *** I will also make an additional set of whatever you order for you to keep for yourself. I will also send you the linoleum block for you to keep as well. Because these are completely customized from start to finish, we can talk about any of these options for your paper and ink: – Traditional card stock, watercolor, or cotton invitation paper – Watercolor or other painted designs that I can do on the paper before printing (see images for faint orange and yellow designs behind blue printed ink). This would, of course, have an additional cost associated with it to cover labor and materials depending on the amount of detail in the design. – Scrapbooking or other patterned paper of your choice to fit your wedding’s theme or style – Sheet music or other graphic design printed on paper – Photos of you and your fiancĂ© (or wedding venue, honeymoon destination, where you met, etc.) printed very lightly/washed out and then printing the linoleum block on top of it – You could purchase your own paper and send it to me (I will make suggestions to ensure the paper will hold the ink, though, if choosing this option) – I could simply design and carve the block and send it to you for you to print yourself if you prefer (I can provide you will directions on how to best do this – We can do oil based ink or water based ink. Oil based ink tends to look more sleek and has a raised, smoother quality to the touch. Water based ink creates more of a patchy look, but could work very well for a more rustic design. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I can provide more clarity before you would like to purchase! Please know, though, that I will not create a design mockup without purchasing this listing.
